HPG Press Center has detailed an action in which 30 soldiers of the occupying Turkish state were killed.
According to the released statement, “On August 23, the invading Turkish army launched an invasion attack on the Heftanin area from the Media Defense Areas.” The Guerrilla army shared that the invading Turkish army has been heavily hit by the guerrilla forces since the launch of the operation.”
The action, organised on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Martyr Beritan (Gülnaz Karataş), “a revolutionary operation was organized under the leadership of our YJA Star forces on October 25th at 14.00 from 8 branches.”
The details of the action are as follows:
“The enemy positions and shelters in the Conference Hill and Siser Hill were intensely fired by our forces who infiltrated the enemy positions with a great spirit of attack. Our forces entering the positions and shelters where the enemy was located, destroyed 7 enemy positions and 2 shelters on the Conference Hill and destroyed 1 enemy shelter on Siser Hill.
In this comprehensive revolutionary operation, our forces, which dropped the enemy positions one by one, have killed at least 30 enemy soldiers and injured many soldiers.
Following these actions, the occupying Turkish army bombed the area with howitzers, mortars and heavy weapons.”
