BAGHDAD, IRAN
The headquarters of Iraqi Arab Shiite leader of the Sadr movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, was reportedly shot by unidentified fighter planes.
According to some sources, Muqtada al-Sadr was killed, while claims have not yet been confirmed.
After the US intervention in Iraq in 2003, Muqtada al-Sadr formed the Mahdi army and fought against the US. He is also known as an anti-Iranian because of contradictions with the Iran government.
Sadr has been supporting the demonstrations that have started in the Arab Shiite regions of Iraq for the last two months.
