ROJAVA, WESTERN KURDISTAN
The young people from Southern Kurdistan who joined the Cenga Rojava Resistance reacted to Nechirvan Barzani’s statement in regards to the occupation attacks by the Turkish state.
The angry youth stated that president of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Nechirvan Barzan, justified the invasion attacks of the Turkish government in a statement he made. Condemning the statement, the youth expressed that the ultimate aim of the Turkish state is to pass Kurds in all corners of Kurdistan through genocide.
The young fighters from the Southern Kurdistan strongly criticized the statement the justification that the existence of the PKK is the reason for the attacks, as expressed by Nechirvan Barzan. Reminding that the PKK had delegated all it’s forces to Sengal, forming human shields around the Ezidi people who were on the verge of annihilation by ISIS, for the civilians to escape. “These forces which protected our peoples against ISIS, and ultimately Erdogan, are said to be the target of these attacks, but in reality, our civilians are being hit with the permission and justification of Barzani.”
Underlining that the Turkish state is unselective in its hostility to the entire Kurdish people, the youth expressed that the fundamental ideology of these forces which Barzani protects today is: “the best Kurd is the dead Kurd.”
A young man from Southern Kurdistan responded to Nechirvan with the following words: ”During the referendum of Kurdistan, there were serious attacks by the occupying Turkish state. These attacks prevented the referendum. At that time, the government of the South did not react seriously. On the contrary, it further developed its relations with the Turkish state. On this day, they have not made a statement against the attacks of the invading Turkish state against Rojava. As if this was not enough, Nechirvan makes statements as if the attacks are legitimate.”
Another young man stated that the invading Turkish state brutally attacked the gains of the Kurdish people and said, “There is no other power here except the SDF, YPG and YPJ forces. The PKK movement is a movement of the Kurdish Freedom Struggle. Now Nechirvan Barzani reflects today’s occupation attacks as legitimate and defends this with the rhetoric that the PKK is fighting here. This statement is to draw the gains of the Kurdish people to the enemy. Nechirvan Barzani and the Government of South should abandon these false policies as soon as possible.”
