ŞENGAL, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
The YBŞ-YJŞ Commandership has made a written statement regarding the airstrike attack against the Xanesor district of Şengal by the Turkish state. The commandership drew attention to the recent attack on Sengal, expressing that this is not the first occasion on which the Turkish has targetted civilians in its attacks.
Stating that the Turkish state attacked not only YBŞ-YJŞ forces but also the idzidî people and Iraqi lands: “our people have recently been subjected to brutal attacks by ISIS gangs, but have never bowed down to the oppressor. The women, youth and mothers of these lands fought together but never did they surrender.
But just when our people approached their freedom, the attacks of the Turkish state began. These attacks of the Turkish state are the continuation of the ISIS massacres. These attacks strengthen ISIS and seek revenge for Baghdadi.
The Turkish state is currently carrying out occupation policies in the Middle East. It is attacking the places where Êzidî and Kurdish people live. Once again, the Turkish state can never break the will of our people and our forces. Regardless of what the cost is, as the YBŞ-YJS defence forces, we will protect our people against these attacks till the end.
We wish recovery to our three friends who were injured in this attack.”
