Women visit Qamishlo’s Martyr Burrial Grounds to pay respect to the Martyrs of Revolution

QAMİŞLO, ROJAVA

Yekîtiya Jinên Ciwan (Young Womens Union) members gathered in Qamişlo on the occasion of November 25, the Day of Struggle against Violence Against Women.

Yekîtiya Jinên Ciwan member, Sozda Kawa, who spoke during a press statement said: “We condemn violence against women. Today, the only way we are able live on this land is because of the fight by women. For this, we must own and be worthy of the fight left to us by the thousands who were martyred for us to live.”

The statement ended with the slogan “Bijî berxwedana Rojava (Long Live The Resistance of Rojava).”

The young women lit candles in the Martyrs Burrial Ground.
