In a written statement, the DKP Union shared that Ceren Güneş was immortalized on November 3, while resisting in war positions along the Serêkaniyê-Til Temir line.
“Revolutionary Communist Party Union member, Ceren Güneş (Ozge Aydin), was immortalized on November 3, while resisting in war positions along the Serekaniye-Til Temir line, fighting against the colonialist fascist Turkish state’s attacks, with internationalist, Turkish, and Kurdish fighters.
Ceren Güneş, together with our comrade MLKP fighter Demhat (Kerem Pehlivan), fought against the fascist invasion of an established order. They have become the flag of freedom representing the peoples of Turkey, showing that these peoples do not only consist of supporters of the occupation and looting.
Comrade Ceren Güneş was born to a Turkish family in Muğla. She graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Medicine without refraining from any revolutionary action and briefly served as a doctor.
During the bloodshed in Syria and while the jihadist state-controlled murderers of Turkey were preparing for the massacres of Suruc, Ankara, and Antep our comrade Ceren performed an action that destroyed a military headquarters of the Turkish army.
In the days when the gangs under the direction of Turkish imperialism and colonialism turned Rojava into a hellfire, she was determined and without hesitation, she entered Rojava.”
The statement by the union was concluded with the following words:
“She did not come to this land to die, but she did not hesitate to walk to death. She came with big dreams. She came to carry the revolutionary and warlike accumulation in Rojava against Turkish fascism. Death won’t stop her from marching. Turkey’s youth will convert this brave woman’s revolutionary ideals into reality.”
