LONDON
Hundreds of students and members of the public gathered at the University of SOAS yesterday to remember Renas Amara and Hevrin Xelef. Organised by Women Defend Rojava Platform UK, the memorial started off with a minutes silence for the martyrs.
The memorial then moved onto remembering the lives of Amara and Xelef and ended with the slogans ‘Women, life, freedom’ and ‘Martyrs are immortal.’
