The anniversary of the establishment of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) was celebrated in the Drancy, Villiers le bel, Evry and Normandy regions of France with the leadership of Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (Revolutionairy Youth Movement)and Jinên Ciwan ên Azad (Free Young Woman’s Movement) activists celebrating the PKK’s resistance of 41 years. Hundreds of Kurdistanis participated in the marches.
Villiers-le-Bel
The march in Villiers-le-Bel began at the Villiers-le-Bel station. A large PKK flag was opened by young people. During the march, the French banner “Let’s march to victory with the PKK” was opened. During the march, slogans shouted for the PKK and the Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Ocalan drew attention. The march continued to the front of the Villiers-le-Bel Democratic Society Center, which ended with Kurdish folklore and slogans.
Drancy
The march started in front of the Democratic Kurdish Community Center in the Drancy region and continued till the Drancy municipality. During the march, French leaflets were distributed, while activists chanted “Killer Erdoğan” and “Long live the PKK.” The activists carried banners reading “Let’s walk to victory with the PKK”.
The march ending at the Municipality of Drancy and continued with a rally. The rally started with a moment of silence and commemoration of the martyrs of the Kurdistan Revolution and ended with speeches on the PKK’s struggle of over forty years.
Normandy
A march was carried out by activists in Mantes la Jolie in the Normandy region till the center of the bazaar, Mantes la Jolie square, where the action ended. The anniversary of the PKK was celebrated with the slogan “Long live the PKK” and “Long live Leader APO.”
Evry
Youth and Kurdistanis gathered in front of the Democratic Kurdish Community Center in Evry and started to march with the PKK flag and a banner reading “We are walking to victory in the spirit of Rojava Revolution after 41 years.”
During the march, the slogans “Everywhere Rojava, everywhere resistance” and “long live the PKK” were shouted. Activists, arriving to the railway station, held a rally.
The rally started with a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of Kurdistan and a speech was made for the People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan on the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle and the created values. After the speech, the rally ended with the slogans “Long live leader APO.”
