DERSIM, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
The Munzur Student Solidarity in Dersim recently made a press statement regarding the attacks on Kurdish students. During the statement, the invading Turkish police attacked the students who opened the banner reading “We condemn the attacks on Kurdish students.” The students made their statements despite all impediments.
The Munzur Student Solidarity, speaking while fighting off the fascist Turkish police, said “These attacks should be deemed as an attack against the will of our peoples systematically through the focus of power, rather than being assumed as the attacks of a few self-aware racists.
We know that the father and the son were killed in Sakarya for speaking Kurdish. We know from Şerzan Kurtlar, from Medeni Yildirim, from Uğur Kaymaz who ate 13 bullets at the age of 12.
We, as the ancient peoples of this geography, have been here for thousands of years and will be here after thousands of years. We are present in all areas of this geography.
We will continue to be ubiquitous until we have the will of the students to live together and study at democratic universities which have embodied it. ”
