ST. GALLEN, SWITZERLAND
Actions and activities continue against the Turkish invasion and genocide attacks on Rojava, which started on 9 October.
This evening, at 19.30, a panel was organized by Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger (Revolutionairy Youth Movement) and internationalist youth in the canton of St.Gallen, Switzerland.
During the event, Maja Hess, a physician who visited Rojava with an international health delegation and observed the invasion from firsthand, and the chairman of Medico International Switzerland, Maja Hess, participated as panelists.
Evaluating the social system formed on the basis of the paradigm of Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Rojava, Hess said that the main target of the fascist Turkish state’s invasion and genocide attacks against Rojava today is this system.
Stating that the ceasefire discourses do not reflect the truth, Hess said that the attacks of the Turkish state and the jihadist gangs it supported were continuing against the civilian population. Hess said that he had met with burning patients and that this was caused by the phosphorus bomb prohibited by international agreements and that they observed the attacks of the Turkish state which could be considered as many crimes of war and humanity.
Hess also mentioned the work and observations of the health delegation to Rojava and the importance of post-occupation migration and health needs.
Approximately 300 people attended the event and continued in the form of question and answer ended at 21.00.
