HPG Press Contact Center shared the identity of two guerrillas who were martyred in the conflict in Wan. HPG expressed its condolences to the families of martyrs and the people of Kurdistan.
The HPG statement is as follows:
“In our statement dated 13 October, we shared with the public that the occupying Turkish army started an operation in the Tuzek village area of Gürpınar district of Van on October 10 and that two of our friends who fought heroically were martyred in the clashes that lasted until the morning hours of October 11.
The identity of our friends who reached martyrdom are as follows:

Comrades Argeş and Welat were born in different cities of Kurdistan and witnessed the enemy reality closely. From the moment they joined the practice of the guerrilla practice which they learned directly in guerrilla fields, they soon became the owners of a relentless resistance against the enemy in the hottest moments of the war.
As comrades who developed the resistance against the surrender policies imposed on the Kurdish people by the AKP-MHP fascist power, they were among our friends who adopted a great tradition of resistance for the freedom of our people.
We would like to express our gratitude to all of our patriotic people, especially the precious families of our comrades Argeş and Welat who reached martyrdom, and we promise to continue our struggle mercilessly until we free our people on the basis of the resistance tradition created by our martyrs. ”
