“Our comrades Şahin and Arteş were born as children of patriotic families in Kobani, Rojava Kurdistan. Our comrades, who have grown up in an environment of patriotic values, have sympathized with the Freedom Movement at an early age.
Our comrades Şahin and Arteş, who joined the guerrilla ranks against the genocide policies implemented by the occupying Turkish state against the Kurdish people, actively started to fight. Our comrades became competent guerrillas in a short time, and took the responsibility of protecting our people against the fascism of the Republic of Turkey.
Comrade Şahin has been a pioneer commander and has fulfilled his pioneering mission in every field in the best way. Comrade Arteş, on the other hand, succeeded to be an exemplary warrior with his laboring and determined stance. Both of our friends participated in the struggle with great effort until their last moments, and have lived every moment with the responsibility owed to our martyrs.
We extend our condolences to the patriotic Kurdistan people, especially the precious families of our comrades Şahin and Arteş who have reached the martyrdom, and we promise that we will raise their struggles to victory.”
