HUNGARY

Gang leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan was protested today in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, where he had travelled to meet Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for the “Hungary-Turkey Business Forum” conference.

Before the meeting of gang leader Erdogan and Orban tens of thousands gathered at Oktogon Square, protesting the attack by Turkey on northern and eastern Syria. The Hungarians marched into the cortege, carrying photographs of civilians killed by the invading Turkish soldiers and ISIS/El Nusra mercenaries.

XELEF NOT FORGOTTEN

The women did not forget Hevrîn Xelef, the Secretary-General of the Syrian Future Party, who was murdered by the invading Turkish soldiers and ISIS/El Nusra mercenaries.

Women activists held photographs of martyr Xelef, with the writing “She was fighting for peace, she was tortured and killed,” written on the photos. Some Hungarians shouted slogans against Erdogan and carried banners reading ”Erdogan is the murderer of the Kurds, the invader of Syria”.

Hungary is one of the few countries that supported the invasion of the Turkish state in Rojava, Kurdistan, and Northern Syria. However, the mayor of Budapest Metropolitan Municipality, Gergely Karácsony, expressed that it is wrong for the Hungarian government to support the operation.

Last week, Karácsony hung a Kurdish flag on the town hall during a march in Budapest to support Rojava, Kurdistan, and northern Syria.
