EYN ISA, ROJAVA
Speaking to our correspondents in Eyn Isa, Dave Eubank, founder of the Free Burma Rangers, and daughter Sahale Eubank detailed the current attacks on ground in Eyn Isa.
Explaining that the Free Syrian Army and Turkish state had burned part of the camp where ISIS families remain, and attacked the Kurdish Red Crescent Hospital; Dave stated that during the attacks 22 people were wounded while 5 people were killed.
“At night there were airstrikes from drones, we managed with the Kurdish Red Crescent to get out some of the wounded but some died. These devastating strikes, one of which went through a building. It destroyed the building. Killed the people inside. So there has not been any days of ceasefire in this invasion.”
And the [front] line now is up to the border, right here the outskirts of Eyn Isa. And the SDF is trying to hold them back. Today also we saw something different we saw the Russians come up
In relation to the supposed ceasefire, the Free Burma Ranger explained the sighting of the Russians as “something different.”
“People are still displaced, have not been able to go home, the Turkish army and Free Syrian Army have invaded large portions of Syria. And displaced over 300,000 people in a massive ethnic cleansing, murder and death, everyday we handle people who’ve seen them.”
As an appeal to the world, Dave says, “This is not over. This ethnic cleansing, this invasion needs to stop. The Turks, who have legitimate concerns, we can negotiate with them back on the Syrian border and this place belongs to the people. The Kurds, the Christians, the Ezidis, the Arabs, the Muslims and there’s a way to live together.
