AMED, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
A 50-year-old, Hacı Abdullah Önder, was killed while two people were injured in an explosion in Amed’s Rezan district.
The incident occurred at night in a factory using the toxic chemical, Carbide, to ripen fruits and vegetables. The explosion occurred as employees enetered the room, killing one and injuring two people.
While investigations continue, it has been reported that a majority of the factory was destroyed.
