TIL TEMIR, ROJAVA
Speaking to our correspondent, David Eubank discussed the reality of the current situation on-ground in Rojava.
David Eubank is a former U.S. Army Special Forces and Ranger officer, and the founder and leader of the Free Burma Rangers (FBR); a humanitarian service movement for oppressed ethnic minorities of all races and religions in the Burma, Kurdistan and Sudan war zones.
The Rangers are currently working all over the front lines of the Rojava resistance, helping treating wounded soldiers and wounded civilians. “We aim to give relief to displaced people and this is my daughter, my family is here with me. We are doing programmes together,” shared Eubank.
Also speaking to our correspondent, David’s daughter said “Thank you for letting us come to help your people, and we hope we can do a lot more.“
Speaking on the situation at hand, David stated: “We’ve seen the attacks off the Turkish military and we’ve seen the Free Syrian Army and the jihadists attacking, destroying, killing, and displacing over three hundred thousand people. Just today we saw families running away because the Turkish army was coming and this is terrible.
I am sorry that my country, America, allowed the to happen, our government told a lie, our government betrayed you. Forgive us, and we are trying to change the US government policy but most important trust in God and stay united together.
I also want to thank the SDF -Syrian democratic forces, your leadership and the great government you have here in Rojava.“
