DERSIM, NORTHERN KURDISTAN
The occupying police station gave the village representatives in Dersim’s district various “instructions”.
According to the information given by the villagers to the newspaper Yeni Demokrasi; the occupying police had prohibited villagers who would leave the village during the winter from leaving food supplies at home.
The commander of the invading police station threatened the villagers by stating that they would start an investigation against the villagers who had left supplies at home. Applying various prohibitions and pressures, the police station told the representatives that the curtains of the houses of the villagers who would not stay in the village should be open.
Villagers of Paş, Karakoçan, are also put under pressure and control by the police station saying “You will give us the T.C identity numbers of the guests coming into your houses”.
