BEHDİNAN, SOUTHERN KURDISTAN
Heftanin Commandership made a public statement. The village guards earlier forced to the KRG-Turkey occupation border by the threat and aggression of the Turkish army, are cutting trees in a battlefield. The villagers, being used as human shields by the Turkish state, have been warned by Heftanin commandership. The statement is as follows:
“The war between our forces and the invaders continues in the occupation operation started on 23 August 2019 by the invading Turkish army against the Heftanin area from the Media Defense Areas.
The invading Turkish army has attempted to cut down trees in the operation area and wishes to build bases by destroying the nature of Kurdistan. On this basis, the occupying state of the Republic of Turkey has placed some village guards and contra to the battlefield for woodcutting.
The war is still continuing in the areas where the occupation is going on and these sections are sent into this war zone with different guises to destroy the beauty and forests of the nature of Kurdistan.
We warn the segments who are actively fighting against our forces by destroying the nature of Kurdistan on the battlefield. Those who help the fascist Turkish state that occupies the territory of Kurdistan, on the battlefield will be the target of our forces.”
