Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Press Center, announced the capture of Jaysh al-Islam gangster, Ismail Zaim, who was preparing an attack against senior commanders of the SDF. The explanation regarding the subject is as follows:
“In parallel with the invasion attacks carried out by the gang groups under the leadership of the invading Turkish army; they are trying to attack our people and military forces through sleeping cells in order to create chaos and fear in different regions of northeastern Syria and Rojava.
Within the scope of operations of our forces against these elements, people who were found to be preparing an attack were surveilled for a while. İsmail Zaim, one of the members of this gang, was captured during the operation on 6 November.
İsmail Zaim is the brother of Muhammad Zaim, one of the gang leaders who was actively involved in the occupation attacks in northern Syria and was seen attacking the funeral of martyr YPJ fighter Amara Rênas.
It was found that Zaim is the leader of a gang named Jaysh al-Islam, and in contact with his brother. Together they made plans for assault and assassination of senior QSD commanders. ”
