HPG Press Liaison Center made a written statement on guerrilla actions and ongoing occupation attacks. The description by HPG is as follows:
HEFTANIN
“Within the scope of the Cenga Heftanin Revolutionary Movement, which is continuing in the Heftanin area of the Media Defense Areas, our forces organized an action against the occupying Turkish army located on the Şehit Şêxmus Hill at around 11.00 on 5 November.
The number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined in this action, where enemy positions and shelters were effectively shot. Following the action, the invading Turkish army randomly bombed the surrounding areas with warplanes. Our unit carrying out the action has safely reached base areas.”
MÊRDÎN
“On October 18, our forces organized a sabotage action against a unit of the invading Turkish army, which made traps near the village of Badıbê in the Bagok area of Mardin. Two enemy soldiers were killed in this action.”
AIR ATTACKS
“The invading Turkish army carried out airstrikes against the Media Defense Areas:
On November 5, at 15.50, the Tepê Sor area of the Avaşin region was bombed.
At noon on 6 November, the Xantur and Coordinated Hill areas of Heftanin and the Martyr Serxwebun area of Kandil were bombed. “
