HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Antalya Youth Assembly held a press conference on pressure and detentions against its members. The youth held a banner reading, “We started young, we will succeed young.”
Speaking, Youth Assembly Member Bilal Kilic, stressed that during the home raides in Istanbul and Amed, “45 friends were taken into custody, put through naked searches and tortured.” Kılıç emphasized that the government targets the youth through oppression methods and demanded an “Immediate stop detention and torture.”
Stating that the activities of the Youth Assembly were criminalized at every opportunity, Kılıç said, “We take our legitimacy and rightfulness from the right of our people and our struggle. Therefore, despite the intimidation and arrest operations, will continue to fight non-stop in this great march which we have inherited without taking a step back.”
