YPJ General Command Member Axin Nucan, speaking to ANF, drew attention that the approach of the Turkish state and its gangs is a goal-oriented approach. Nucan, speaking on the attacks since October 9, emphasized that genocide was carried out with the aim of displacing peoples and achieving demographic change.
Drawing attention firstly to Serêkaniyê, Nucan explained that many regions of Rojava are under occupation attacks and that this would be the second Kobanê resistance, but larger.
“I think that the invasion of the invading Turkish army is directed at the will of all peoples, and that the resistance against it, that is, protects the dignity of humanity.
Nucan emphasized the following issues: “The occupying Turkish state, Erdoğan, is trying to spread the Ottoman Empire in this way. Erdogan has drafted a map according to this framework. This plan is not limited to Erdogan. The ruling forces want to dissolve organized society through organized attacks.
In accordance with the occupation attacks, Erdogan had stated that “the first step will clean the region, the second step will place immigrants in the region,” what immigrants is Erdogan talking about? Which family in Serêkaniyêli is seeking Erdoğan’s refuge? He wants to settle his own gangs by expelling the locals from the region. Around the notion of Kurdish hostility, Erdogan only carries the status of carrying out orders.
Drawing attention to the five-day ‘ceasefire’ agreement, Nucan said that they accepted in line with certain conditions: “however, the conditions they have expressed on television channels are different from each other. The conditions that are expressed are the conditions that will violate the will of our people and are therefore, unacceptable for us. There is no cease-fire right now, it is a situation put forward to change the agenda because the whole world reacted harshly to the occupation attacks of Erdogan, which forced him to make decisions.
The aim of the decision was to soften the reaction against Erdoğan. In Serêkaniyê, our friends resisted all the brutal attacks and the technique of the occupying state. Erdogan and the United States are responsible for all martyrs, injuries and massacres of our people after the ceasefire. That’s how the world should know this.”
Commander Nucan recalled that they fought against ISIS gangs trained by the Erdogan administration until yesterday, “How come Erdogan calls us‘ terrorists? The forces that were fighting against ISIS with us yesterday, today unite with Erdogan and take decisions against us.”
Nucan said: “All of our fighters want to go to Serêkaniyê and join the resistance there. We are forcibly stopping our friends. This resistance determines the future, and with this awareness our fighters are eager to join the resistance. We accept no life other than free life. Since the beginning of the revolution, YPJ forces have acted as pioneers in every field of struggle. Zin Kobanê, Nergiz, Rohanî, Núpelda and many other friends participated in the Rojava war with the same determination. Our friends welcome death in Serêkaniye with laughter. They say nothing but success. This is the philosophy of commitment to life. ”
YPJ General Command Member Axin Nucan, at the end of her speech, called on the people to support the resistance.
