YPJ General Command commemorated “comrade Hevrin who has been fighting for his people under all conditions and added to our resistance and the resistance of our martyrs.”
The Command said, “we commemorate all martyrs of the struggle for freedom in the person of Hevrîn, the comrade of the struggle for freedom. We extend our condolences to the people of northern and eastern Syria, to humanity and to the family of Comrade Hevrî.
The Turkish occupation attacks are the result of dirty agreements and plots between states that prolong the life of the war” it was said. “Those responsible for the blood flowing today are those who allow the occupation of the Turkish state and remain silent against the occupation.
The attack on Hevrîn comrade is against all women,” the YPJ General Command said. “Just as the ISIS gangs carried out brutal attacks on women in Shengal and other parts of the country, today the Turkish state is attacking women with brutal attacks rather than ISIS. As YPJ, we see this attack as an attack against all women and against the morals of war and we promise to make them pay for this.”
The statement also stated: “As YPJ has resisted before, today we are ready to do our historical duty against the occupation of the Turkish state. We will sign a historical resistance with Arab, Kurdish and Assyrian women in order to protect our dignity as women of North and East Syria. As YPJ, we express our determination and we will enlarge the struggle and achieve victory in response to the martyrdom of Comrade Hevrî.”
