DUSSELDORF
Today, around 30 activists blocked an intersection leading to the buildings of Mercedes-Benz, Rheinmetall and Thyssenkrupp in Düsseldorf. Activists noted that Rheinmetall employees, who could not leave the building due to the action, came out and made rascist remarks. A Rheinmetall employee had told the activists to “go back to [their] countries.” The same, fascist employee later came out again and added “all of you should be killed,” making the cutthroat gesture.
The activists continued their action with banners reading “the writings “war starts here” and “disarm Rheinmetall.” The activists later narrowed their area of action, specifically to the Rheinmetall building and demanded an immediate end to arms production and condemned the cooperation between the German government and the terrorist state of Turkey.
