Aldar Xelîl, Member of the Executive Committee of the Democratic Society Movement (TEV-DEM), made assessments on the current issues on Rojava channel, Ronahi TV. Noting the resistance of the peoples of northern and eastern Syria, Xelîl said, “Despite the difficult process and impossibilities, a unique resistance was exhibited in the past 15 days of the Resistance of Honor. Because the people no longer agree to live without any right. ”
Stressing that a process involving a solution is also challenging, Xelîl continued: “the enemies of humanity and freedom are attacking us and then new developments are taking place. The closeness of our victory leads the states that conspire against us to negotiate with us. If they had not lost in these attacks, they would not have thought of stopping. What I want to draw attention to here is that states that conspire to attack us now have to negotiate. If we weren’t successful, they wouldn’t see each other. Now they are in a deep crisis and their cards are wasted.”
Stating that all the forces in the early periods of the Syrian crisis were in the ambition of power, Xelîl said, “These structures, which were strong in 2011, are almost absent. Neither the regime has the old power, nor the brotherhoodists. The FSA, is weak just like al-Nusra or ISIS. However, democratic experience in northern and eastern Syria has developed and is still standing ”.
Stressing that there are still dangers to the region, Xelil said, “Our resistance continues against this danger. However, our gains are guaranteed, our will is very strong and will never break. We may face problems in the future, but our will will never break. ”
“One of the biggest gains is that those who decide to attack you are obliged to play friends. It has not been experienced on this date. This is not a simple event. Turkey is also a NATO member. Today, NATO members gathered and made calls for the removal of Turkey from NATO. This shows how great we are in the field. ”
Stating that Turkey’s dreaming, Xelil used the following words: “Turkey can not reach the ambitions it dreams of. Our living spaces are on the border line. How can they get us out of here? Neither we nor the world will accept the change of the demographic structure. Secondly, with what right they will get us out of our villages and cities?” Xelîl, who said that historical duties fall to both the USA and Russia, stated that “both states should approach this issue positively.”
Referring to the agreement between Turkey and Russia, Xelil said that “this agreement should have taken our opinion. Because it’s about us. The provisions of this agreement may also be in our best interest, but our opinion was not sought. We need to deal with this consensus. The will of the peoples should be taken as basis.” He stressed that the priority is the public interest.
Regarding the entry of international forces into the border line, Xelîl said, “it is important for us that international forces come to the border line. Because Turkey is endangering the security of the region and is the main actor of the crisis. Turkey can not be considered to be under the control of this region. In other words, independent forces that are not party to this war must come to the border line. This demand is because despite all efforts, Turkey has not accepted the agreement.”
