In an exclusive interview with Ronahi TV, QSD General Commander Mazlum Ebdi said that the aim of the Turkish state was to invade the region altogether, but that they would resist to the end the invasion and occupation attacks.
Ebdi, in an exclusive interview, drew attention to the relations between the Republic of Turkey and ISIS, “this relationship has existed since the beginning, and today, ISIS, El-Nusra and other gang groups started invasion attacks in the region of northern and eastern Syria with the Turkish state,” he said.
Details of the meeting with Trump
Referring to his telephone conversation with US President Trump, Ebdi said that in his meeting with Trump, he expressed that America did not fulfill their responsibilities towards the region, and the details of the talks were as follows:

‘People are resisting in Serêkaniyê’
The Turkish state has been continuing a comprehensive attack for the past 8 days . These attacks began with the entry into the Syrian territory of 150 km or even a few branches along the border. They tried to enter from the Serêkaniyê and Gire Spi line.
A strong resistance against this attack continues and will continue. The Turkish state is attacking with thousands of soldiers and their gangs with hundreds of panzer, tanks, fighter jets and reconnaissance aircraft. In particular, tens of thousands of Daesh, Nusra and other gangs have brought from places such as Ezaz, Bab and Efrin. We know many of these gangs, they’re trying to get revenge. QSD fighters of Kurdish, Arab, Syriac and all other ethnic groups take part in this resistance.
So far, after a great resistance, our fighters withdrew from Girê Spî. A great resistance continues in Serêkaniyê. The soldiers of the occupying army have entered a small part of the city, but there is still a great struggle against the attacks. The Turkish state is trying to encircle Serêkaniyê.

Now, in the same way in the attacks in Rojava it is killing children, women, elderly, civilian, regardless of the military. Therefore, our people are forced to leave their places to avoid harm. Of course, this is a conscious policy. Now the aim of the Turkish state to attack in this way is to migrate the people of the region, bring others and place them here.
‘The US did not fulfill its responsibilities’
The US did not fulfill its responsibilities. As the public knows, the border security mechanism has been developed recently between us and the Turkish state through the mediation of the US. However, as soon as we stopped, the Turk left this agreement aside and started to say that he would not accept these conditions and attacked.
The US attitude towards it was very weak. He didn’t fulfill his responsibilities. He said that the Turkish state is a NATO member and therefore will not fight against a NATO country. He did not defend the forces against which he formed an alliance with against ISIS. He did not keep the promise he made previously, he had said that he would protect the Kurdish people, the people of the region against attacks and that ISIS would be completelt liquidated. There was no acceptable aspect to this. We have conveyed it to them on all levels. In fact, they accept it. At least those who work with us do not deny this fact.
However, the situation is the same as you are watching. The US sacrificed these war-torn regions so that relations with the Turkish state would not be broken. If this war is not stopped, and now if they do not fulfill the promise to stop the war then we deem this as betrayal.
‘Fighting ISIS is third plan, our primary duty is to prevent the Turkish invasion’
We have said this before, in the case of an attack by the Turkish state, fighting DAESH will be second or third plan. Now this has happened. In the current situation, our priority will be to stop the occupation attacks growing on our geography and remove the invaders from our territory. Of course, DAESH is also a great danger for our people, just as it is for the rest of humanity but in the current situation it is no longer a priority for us. It is second, or third option status.
Our alliance with the US on the basis of the struggle against ISIS still continues. At least this is officially the case. In practice, this is also the case in some places. America has not yet announced that it has finished this alliance with us. There are currently around 12,000 ISIS gang members and their families in the region. These issues are still waiting to be discussed and resolved. In fact, the US wants the anti-DAIS agreement to continue in some way. But for us, the primary priority right now is to defend our people, Rojava.
In short, we can say that as of now, we have frozen the struggle against ISIS. We are currently only protecting ourselves against ISIS attacks. Because we know that with the attacks of the Turkish state, ISIS has begun to rebound and freak. They carried out attacks, explosions, attacked the dungeons and wanted to save the prisoners. They have already announced that they will expand their wars even more. Moreover, one of the main aims of the Turkish state is to resurrect and strengthen ISIS. Therefore, we will continue to keep our defense against ISIS strong. However, as of now, the practical struggle against ISIS is frozen.
‘DAESH detainees are our responsibility ’
Now a lot of people are discussing what will happen to imprisoned ISIS people. Some say that the Turkish state will come to deal with this case. We can’t accept that. We will determine the fate of imprisoned ISIS gangs and their families. We’ve arrested them, they’re with us, and we’re gonna make the decisions about them. If the forces and states that have fought against ISIS remain with us and continue this struggle, then we will decide together. No, if they go, then we have no relationship and this file is our concern. Other than that, we have no business with anyone from outside. We have already shared our decision on this issue, and now we say that. Countries that ISIS gangs are citizens of, if they think they are dangerous, then have to fulfill their responsibilities.
‘I didn’t call Trump and he called me.’
Trump called me. He was accompanied by vice presidents and some senators. We talked about where the situation went. I think he meant what we could do. He also said that we are not against the Syrian regime and our border security agreement with Russia. “You want to defend your own geography, you can do it, we support it”, he said. ‘Our Treaty is a military dimension ’
Our relationship with Syria and Russia was essential. This was necessary to prevent the attack of the Turkish state. This is not an alliance. One aspect can be called reconciliation. The main purpose of this consensus is to prevent the Turkish state from invading Syria. In this reconciliation meeting, Russian military officials, Syrian officials and we arrived.
We did not make a political treaty, the treaty we have made is entirely military based. The area wanted to be occupied covers 30 km. This zone starts on the border line. ‘Kurdish political parties should be united’

Some of our Kurdish forces are in different structures, they should also take an attitude against this occupation. They should take more concrete steps, not just statements and meetings. They must give voice to the resistance in Kobane, Serekani, Gre Spi.
