The Press Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces (QSD) announced that Yûnis Mihemed (Berxwedan Amed) has been martyred after carrying out a self-sacrifice action in the village of Mishrafa of Girê Spî. It was stated that 20 gangs were killed and that strong will is more effective than any kind of technical weapon.
“Thousands of young people have fought on these lands against the terror attacks against Rojava with great willpower. Martyr Berxwedan is one of our comrades who fought heroically, who sacrificed and became a shield against the attacks.
Martyr Berxwedan came from Amed (Diyarbakır) to the region since the first day of the revolution and fought effectively from the Kobanê resistance which he joined with the spirit of mobilization to the resistance in Baxoz, where the ISIS was finished. Martyr Berxwedan successfully fulfilled all his duties and responsibilities, and was always at the forefront and fought against ISIS with great will.
He was also wounded, but remained in the front line. He fought against ISIS gangs and stood against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks and fought heroically. With a strong will, the bouncer decided to act and successfully made his decision.
The invading Turkish army could not accept the freeing of terrorism from Rojava and began attacks on safe areas. The Turkish state encountered insurgents like Berxwedan in the attacks. Martyr Berxwedan and Arîn Mîrkan loaded their bombs and detonated the enemy. Berxwedan, who acted without losing any time for defense of the country, carried out a bouncer action with a strong will and became martyred with the spirit of Arîn and ÎlanÎ.
Martyr Berxwedan killed more than 20 gangs and showed everyone that a strong will is more effective than any powerful technique and occupational mentality.
On this occasion, we commemorate all martyrs of freedom and express our condolences to martyr families and people. We reiterate that we will create a free future from the legacy of our martyrs and follow the line of the martyrs.
