CENTRAL NEWS

“Genocidal attacks are continuing to be committed against Rojava and northern Syria by the invading Turkish state and it’s gangs. The occupying Turkish state has carried out yet another massacre by targeting the civilian convoy travelling to Serêkaniyê and 11 civilians were killed together with ANHA correspondent Seed Ehmed.

Rojava and the Northern Syrian Autonomous Administration called on the Syrian government and the public to defend the borders together with the QSD for the protection of civilians against the Turkish occupation.

The statement made by the Autonomous Administration on the matter is as follows:

“As the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, our democratic forces consisting of Syrian youth started the war against terrorism in 2014. This war of liberation against the terrorist organization continued in northern and eastern Syria and continued with the liberation of Minbic in the west of the Euphrates, followed by Girê Spî, Tebqa, Reqa and Derazor. Our five-year struggle against ISIS has resulted in a victory in Derazor on March 23, 2019. The areas we liberated from terror correspond to half of the Syrian geography, and for this purpose the QSD gave a great price, including 11 thousand martyrs and 24 thousand wounded. We paid such a heavy price to liberate the people of Syria, to ensure the territorial integrity of Syria and to free the people from the persecution of terror.

Our political project in northern and eastern Syria does not call for fragmentation. We have always called for dialogue and resolution of the Syrian crisis through peaceful means and we continue to do so. We have never been a threat to any neighboring countries, especially Turkey, but Turkey has accused us of terrorism and continues according to this accusation. However, since the beginning of the crisis in Syria, Turkey which has played a negative role for the spread of terrorism has attacked the Democratic Forces who have saved their land with their own blood.

In the past 5 days, violent crimes have been committed against civilians. The QSD forces resisted heroically for the protection of the Syrian territory, resulting in martyrs and veterans. The occupation attacks of the Turkish state continue. In order to prevent these invasion attacks, we reached an agreement with the Syrian government.

The Syrian government will carry out its duty to protect Syrian borders and territorial integrity. The Syrian army will take place in the liberation of the areas occupied by the Turkish state and support QSD, the Syrian army will spread across the whole of the Syria-Turkey border line. This agreement will allow the liberation of all Syrian territories and cities occupied by the Turkish state, especially Efrîn and its affiliated gang groups.

On this basis, we announce the agreement reached to all North and East Syrian peoples, especially our people on the border line. The Syrian army will spread to the region under the coordination of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria. ”
