“On 9th October, the Turkish regime ordered its forces to invade areas of the Democratic Federation of North-East Syria (Rojava). Since then, the Turkish army has advanced to Kurdish, Arab and Christian quarters in various cities of Rojava. Residential areas are being attacked by aerial fire, artillery and tanks. This military campaign is supported by Islamist militias, which include former commanders of the Islamic state as well as fighters of the terrorist organization Ahrar al-Sham.
We call on all democratic, socialist, feminist forces, the peace and ecology movement, the autonomous left and all individuals – who do not want to see this injustice unfold – to take action now. We have some concrete proposals for the coming days. If you want to receive or share concrete announcements, you can register for the Telegram Channel of our campaign for Germany: t.me/riseup4rojava
Monday, 14th October: Block the arms industry!
We call for blocking offices, showrooms and production facilities of German arms companies in all
cities of Germany. Here, you can find a map of all the companies in question

Wednesday, 16th October: Help the press!
A lot of German media are not able to guarantee truthful coverage of the war. They belittle the NATO war and do not give it the weight it should have. They ignore local sources from the North of Syria, and they spread Turkish propaganda. In order to help them, let us visit them. We call on you to go to the editorial offices of your local newspapers, television stations or radio stations and demand that their eyes are not closed to the war crimes of the Western military alliance and its Islamist allies.
Friday, 18th October: Fridays For Peace!
The Kurdish ecology movement in Northern Syria and the environmental movement in Germany do not only have common goals, but also common enemies. We call on all activists, especially our friends within #fridaysforfuture, to demonstrate in front of or in Mercedes offices, sales outlets or factories. Mercedes is not only a notorious sinner of the environment, but it also produces for the Turkish army.
Saturday, 19th October: European large-scale demonstration in Cologne
We call for a bloc at the large-scale European demonstration against the war. Tens of thousands of people are expected in Cologne. We want to participate with our own bloc. We are counting on a
militant mood and civil disobedience. Watch out for announcements at the demonstration.”
