Intelligence units of the QSD in northern and eastern Syria have captured 5 mercenaries. Following three days of surveillance, the IS units were eliminated by the security forces.
Three members of the mercenary group were among the mercenary groups of the so-called “Euphrates Shield”, which the Turkish state began in 2016 to occupy the areas starting from Jarablus.
It was shared that the ISIS mercenaries who were eliminated were preparing to carry out assassinations and bomb attacks. They were also working to convey the coordinates of the autonomous institutions and military sites in northern and eastern Syria to the Turkish state.
