The statement released by the PKK Executive Committee is as follows:
“Today, there is a Third World War in the Middle East. Kurdistan was divided into four parts during the First World War and genocide policies were carried out on the Kurdish people. These genocide policies were pioneered by the Turkish state. Today, the Turkish state is pioneering Kurdis
In the first quarter of the 20th century, the political balances of the Middle East founded on the fragmentation and genocide of the Kurds and the status quo based on these balances were dispersed. This provides opportunities for Kurds held under the genocide system in the 20th century. However, since the Kurds cannot be united, and even the genocidal colonialist forces have benefited from this fragmentation of the Kurds, the risks and opportunities have increased. This increases the risk of missing opportunities that will come before Kurds once in a century, or perhaps even more.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE
Political developments in recent years have shown very clearly; Without the unity of Kurds and conducting a joint struggle, their existing gains will be lost. If every Kurdish gain is to be preserved, this will be possible with the level, power and national unity of the struggle carried out in all parts. In this respect, there is an urgent need for a National Conference to be held by all Kurdish political forces, parties, organized democratic society, intellectuals and artists. If such a conference is delayed and the problems between the political forces are not resolved, the disintegration and fragmentation may cost the Kurdish people dearly.
NATIONAL WORKSHOP
It was a very important step to bring together 14 political parties and movements in Kurdistan immediately since the genocidal invasion attempts of Rojava. In this gathering, all political party representatives requested a national meeting and workshop to discuss the attacks and dangers against the Kurds and to create a common attitude. We see this coming together and the explanations very important. The statements made by the political parties and federation administration in Kurdistan in this period were also reassuring for our people. It will be very important for the representatives of the parties that call for a national meeting to come together and hold a national meeting or workshop without delay. We want to make it clear that whoever does this work is valuable and that we will support it.
NATIONAL CONFERENCE
This workshop can discuss urgent issues and make some decisions and put forward common attitudes. However, the problems faced by the Kurds are longer and more severe. In this respect, this workshop can also discuss a current conference, propose solutions and take decisions, as well as a National Conference discussion and a preparatory committee. We are announcing that we will support the efforts of valuable politicians who want a national meeting and workshop at the meeting where 14 political parties come together. We call for the support of Kurdish democratic organizations and Kurdish public opinion in such a work.
It is very important for the Kurdish people’s history that political parties and democratic organizations and wise people come together and start a National Conference in a short period of time in which the opportunities for making big gains increase but the dangers also exist. We put this approach only because of the national interests of the Kurdish people and the responsibility we feel about it. Because the Third World War in the Middle East and the political developments in this war environment have increased our concerns. Many Kurdish intellectuals, writers, and many Kurdish political movements and politicians, who are the conscience of the Kurdish people, also hear these concerns.
RESPONSIBILITY
We hope that the calls and national sentiment at the meeting of 14 political party representatives in Kurdistan will be positively answered and we promise to fulfill our responsibilities. It is clear that it is the responsibility of all the political forces to achieve a National Conference that will provide unity to the nation, which is the longing of the Kurdish people, seeing that there are dangers for the Kurdish people.
On this basis, we appreciate and welcome all political parties in Kurdistan to be sensitive about the attack on Rojava and wish them all the best in their work. ”
