In Dortmund, a memorial service was held for the fallen HPG fighter Tekoşer Awaz (Nesim Atay). Tekoşer Awaz was martyred on 21 July 2019, in Karacehennem near Çewlîg during an operation.
The commemoration brought together some 200 people who paid tribute to the freedom struggle by Tekoşer Awaz with speeches, personal shots and stories about his life and his struggle in the ranks of the Kurdish freedom movement.
In the speeches, members and friends talked about the character of the fallen HPG fighter and emphasized the role of youth in the current fight against the Turkish invasion of Rojava and Northern Kurdistan. The participants emphasized the importance of remembrance of the fallen, the defense of their dreams and goals, and the importance of organization in every corner of the world to bring the Kurdish struggle for freedom to long-awaited success.
