In Berlin, Germany, hundreds of people gathered to commemorate the internationalist revolutionary Martyr Sara Dorşîn (Sarah Handelmann).
Born in Germany in 1985, Sara recognized the hostility of the capitalist system at a young age and was in a search. Sara, who met many socialist organizations, becomes impressed by the Kurdish Freedom Struggle; she sees the extermination policies implemented on the Kurds, and sympathises as if they were made to her own people. Sara, who encompasses the consciousness of democratic unity of peoples, believed that democratic modernity is a salvation against the system that demolishes, disintegrates and exploits the human, and always believed that a more political – moral society can be created.
As a result of all these quests, Sara travels to the mountains of Kurdistan in 2017 in order to take part in the PKK movement, which is based on the ideology of free life of the Leader APO. Sara became a guerrilla in the vast mountains of Kurdistan, adapted to the mountain environment in a short period of time, and deepened the ideology of free women of the Leader APO. Taking part in YJA Star, she soon established strong ties with her comrades and makes serious progress in the military field and serves as the commander of the guerrilla units.

Sara Handelmann was martyred in an air raid by the fascist Turkish state on April 7, 2019 in the Media Defense Areas.
