MARSEILLES
Ciwanen Soresger (Revolutionairy Youth Movement) held actions in two different places in Marseilles, to protest the Turkish occupation attempts in Rojava.
The series of actions started with an information stand opened by the Revolutionairy Youth Movement and anti-fascist groups to inform about the occupation in Rojava. While many statements were distributed during the protest, the number of protestors were said to have fluctuated.
Following the KCD-E’s call to action after the massacre in Serekaniye, the youth held a demonstration.
At the end of the protest, nearly a hundred young people marched from the action site to the Marseille station where they carried out a civil disobedience act. The protesters later marched in the center of Marseille, chanting “terrorist Erdogan, killer Erdogan, Rojava will be the grave to fascism.”
In a speech made on behalf of the youth, Kurdish youth all over Europe were invited to engage in action.
