BEHDİNAN
Komalên Ciwan Coordination Member Özgür Şerker evaluated the occupation attacks initiated in Kurdistan and Northern Syria by the Turkish state, and the resistance against these attacks.
Şerker started his speech by greeting the resistance against the invasion attacks and commemorating the martyrs: “First of all, I want to commemorate the martyrs of the resistance. Especially in Girê Spî, Serêkaniyê, Rojava and Northern Syria. I would like to start by saluting all the insurgents who heroically resisted and drew the epic resistance of humanity.
Just as this resistance is progressing legendarily, the way in which it is initiated and the way it is handled, the level of the enemy’s planning for it, is strong. These attacks were planned on the anniversary of the October 9 conspiracy. In fact, it was an attack that everyone was waiting for. There were intensive evaluations on what the attacks would serve, what they would be aimed at and what results they would achieve. ”
Şerker continued his speech by saying that the attacks on Rojava and Northern Syria are the continuation of the October 9 inter-state conspiracy, and the choice of launching attacks on October 9 is very conscious. “Just as an interstate conspiracy was staged on our leadership 21 years ago, the will of 70 million people was taken into captivity in İmralı by very ugly methods.
This conspiracy, in fact, is a message to the Kurds, they are openly saying ‘we will pass you through genocide, we will take your freedom from your hand, we will take over what you have achieved in those 21 years because you’ve made a revolution, you’ve made gains in many places, you’ve become more powerful and we will not accept it.’
This is one of Erdoğan’s main reasons for the Kurdish hostility. Just as the TC and Erdoğan fascism continue to be hostile to our leadership, they implement hostile policies on our leadership with everything they do, and today they address these policies through Rojava. ”
Özgür Şerker stated that the invading Turkish state aims to eliminate the Kurdish people completely with these attacks.
“It is worth mentioning that evalutations are being made on the attacks and it is clear that this massacre or genocide has a single purpose. This is not only meant to be physical. It is aimed at eliminating a division; its purpose is displacement from the land where people are located by destroying the existing political situation and not leaving a piece of land where people can live freely. In terms of all the attacks being carried out, all special and psychological warfare, aircraft attacks, tank and cannon attacks, the aim is single.
Today, while the world opposes these attacks, while the people of the world consciously stands against it, it must be noted that this is one of the very few points at which humanity has united. The insistence on continuing these attacks eventhough the world stands against it, is a product of the determination to destroy Kurds regardless of the consequences.”
Şerker added that the genocide policies aimed at the Kurds are not acceptable and that this is not so easy to achieve.
“No one needs to play the role of messenger-of-disaster. There is a community of resistance that resists heroically. There were interviews given by the people who were massacred in the Serêkaniyê massacre, who did not give up on the values of their land; for the land, for the country, for the victories it has created, and most importantly, because those lands have been irrigated with the blood of martyrs. These are all values that have not arrisen randomly and no one can gift this revolution to another through signatures.
This will that has freed every stone of its land, is the same will that has become an honor resistance today. Today, the streets of Serêkaniyê offer a unique resistance against all kinds of techniques. It is necessary to understand the plan of attacking Rojava correctly and to respond to enemy reality. The enemy is hostile and acts accordingly, the enemy is trying to commit genocides, the enemy is doing whatever it’s fascism deems neccessary.
For instance, it has been noted that all parties in Turkey have united in the name of exterminating the Kurds, and should they achieve their goals, these same people will stand up and say “we are brothers with the Kurds.” There is no such brotherhood, you can not find such a brotherhood amongst us. And what needs to be done to the enemies will be done. Those who approach with hostility and those who want to commit genocide, will be approached accordingly.
The Kurds have been not been accepted in any book, any law till this day. This is why they are outer-state. The Kurdish people have never depended on the state, this is a historical lesson learnt. They carry the struggle to bring themselves to a free life by their own independent stance and free will. Therefore, the Kurds are always exposed to these conspiracies. The Kurds have always only existed by their resistance. Today, with this resistance, they gathered all of humanity around them.
It is not that easy that a person will act as they see fit to pass the Kurds through another genocide. So long as our people approach with this consciousness, they will break the attacks on Rojava.”
Şerker added that “the price will be paid, whatever it is, but Erdoğan’s fascism will be brought to an end. Erdogan will regret this hostility towards the Kurds; the massacres, the wish of extermination. Regardless of the price, regardless of what will happen, whatever is needed to be done will be done and the necessary answer to Erdogan will be put forward.”
Komalên Ciwan Coordination Member, Şerker, pointed out that the idea and philosophy of Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Öcalan is universalized. “The Kurds are now universalized with resistance. Leader Apo’s ideas came to life in Rojava, and Leader Apo’s legacy of resistance has now become universal. This is what makes this level of resistance possible. Is it easy to fight against all kinds of technique and airplanes? Which normal army’s soldiers are capable of such a thing? The people who are bound by the apoist will and the great freedom ideology demonstrate this resistance every day.”
Özgür Şerker said that the youth of Northern Kurdistan are in a position of self-criticism against the Cenga Rojava Resistance.
“Northern Kurdistan is the motor of the struggle for freedom in Kurdistan. It should be such that the resistance of the youth should be the pioneers of the resistance, wherever it is located. We have expressed this constantly. Today, they must be a pioneer of war and a warrior.
This situation of the northern youth is the subject of serious criticism. This is a situation that needs to be questioned. While people from America to India are locked around our insurgents in Girê Spî, Serêkanîyê, Rojava borders, there is no reason as to why the youth of the North should not express themselves. Youth from all parts of Kurdistan have risen with a level of national consciousness, and our youth in North Kurdistan have no reason to create excuses as to why they remain inactive.
For one thing, a characteristic of youth is that it does not recognize obstacles regardless of the pressure of the enemy, regardless of the oppression of fascism. The youth is the one to burn the oppression to the roots, to destroy it completely. Otherwise, if so many lessons have not been learnt with blood, would such an honourable resistance emerged? Would it have been possible for the Kurds to organize themselves if it had not been living this for centuries?”
Özgür Şerker pointed out that the youth of Northern Kurdistan youth should lead the people of Northern Kurdistan, but instead their silence is unacceptable:
“Today, the center of all the attacks carried out in Kurdistan is the North. The soldiers and gangs who come to occupy Rojava walk through the streets of the North. Those who put forward the plan of the Rojava genocide live carelessly in Ankara. Today, their trashy, unpredictable press broadcasts from Northern Kurdistan. Doesn’t the youth of Northern Kurdistan see these?
There is a serious lack of reaction, there is a youth that does not know what to do, where to start. In such a situation, there is no need to know: there is a need to do.
The youth of the North are the same ones who exhibited enourmous struggle during the Kobanê resistance process when thousands of young people threw themselves to the borders and flowed to Rojava. What young people in the North need to do is shake our people from their death sleep.
In the North, we see our youth who name themselves revolutionary, patriotic socialist, then we call on these people: to be a revolutionairy you must learn how to be pioneers first. Being revolutionairy is not something that can be completed, or something that you can just call yourself. You must kill the fascism that is infesting your heart and brain. We must also add that once Cizre is finished, there is no need for th youth of North to speak another word.
