HPG Press Contact Center shared details of the action against Turkish soldiers in Çaldıran district of Wan.
HPG stated:
Within the scope of the ongoing Revolutionary Victory Movement in Serhat Province, our forces organized an action against a GMC-type vehicle belonging to the Turkish army that patrolled between Kevırê Şamê and Sarıxsu outposts of Çaldıran district of Van on October 17 at 22.00.
The enemy vehicle and soldiers were taken under intense fire at close range, the vehicle was completely destroyed, 8 soldiers were killed and 2 soldiers were injured. After the action, the invading Turkish army, which removed the dead and wounded soldiers from the area, randomly bombed the area with attack helicopters. Our unit organizing the action has safely reached base areas.”
