The HPG Press Liaison Center (HPG-BİM) reported that they organized various actions against the invading Turkish soldiers. While 5 invading soldiers were killed in the third action, the number of dead soldiers in other actions could not be obtained.
“Within the scope of the Martyr Bager and Martyr Ronya Revolutionary Move our forces, on October 16, organized actions in 6 regions against the invading Turkish army.”
MILITARY SHELTERS AND POSITIONS IN GEVER
At 11.00, our forces organized an action against the occupying Turkish army located on the Martyr Elişer Hill of Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari. In this action, where enemy positions and shelters were put under intense fire, many enemy positions were destroyed and the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined.
After the action, the invading Turkish army bombed the area with warplanes randomly in the evening, removing the dead and wounded soldiers from the area with Skorsky helicopters. Our unit carrying out the action has safely reached base areas.
A DIGGER IN AVAŞİN
At 16.20, our forces organized an action against the invading Turkish army, which was carrying out road construction works in the Bosphorus Çeta area in the Avaşin area from the Media Defense Areas. In this action, where a scoop vehicle belonging to the invaders was targeted, the number of dead and wounded soldiers could not be determined when the vehicle was hit.
MILITARY ASSOCIATIONS HIT IN XAKURK: 2 DEAD
Again from the Media Defense Areas, the occupying Turkish army located on the Martyr Derwêş Hill of Xakurkê region was targeted by our forces at around 16.30. Two soldiers were killed in this action where the enemy soldiers on the hill were shot correctly.
ASSASSINATION ACTION IN HEFTANIN: 1 DEAD
On 16 October, at 17.30, an assassination was organized in the scope of the Cenga Haftanin Revolutionary Action of , which is ongoing in the field against the occupying Turkish army located on the Great Conference Hill of Heftanin region from Media Defense Areas. 1 enemy soldier who was shot was killed.
YJA STAR HITS IN BESTA: 2 DEAD
Within the scope of Martyr Media Mawa and Martyr Wind Gever Revenge, our YJA Star forces organized an action against the occupying soldiers in Eyşedinkê area of Şırnak’s Besta District on 12 October. Enemy troops and a vehicle belonging to the enemy were put under intense fire, while the enemy vehicle was hit and 2 soldiers were killed and 1 soldier was injured.
MANY KILLED IN SAVUR
On October 10, the invading Turkish army launched an occupation operation in the Tizyan village area of the Savur district of Mardin. During the operation, there were intense clashes between our forces and enemy troops. In these clashes, where a large number of enemy soldiers were killed, a friend who fought heroically against enemy forces reached martyrdom. The identity of our friend who reached martyrdom will be shared with the public later.”
AIR ATTACKS TO GUERILLA AREAS
In the same statement, it was stated that Warplanes belonging to the invading Turkish army carried out air strikes against the Media Defense Areas on October 16:
“At 11.30, the village of Gundê Guzê in the Gare region was bombed and at 15.00 Kani Sarkê, Kani Qirej and Çemrobotki areas were bombed.
Between 18.30 and 19.00, Shikefta in the Zap area bombed the Brindara area and the Kortek area in the Kandil region.
We did not suffer any loss in these bombings.”
