COLOGNE
While the clashes started with the invasion of Rojava by the invading Turkish state and gangs on 9 October, solidarity actions continue to be organized all over the world, especially in Europe.
One of these protests took place on Saturday in Cologne, Nordrhein-Westfahlen. The FED-MED, the European Kurdish Women’s Movement (TJK-E) and Tevgera Ciwanên Şoreşger’ (TCŞ), supported the action by ADHK, MLKP and many German left-wing organizations, in which more than ten thousand people from all over Nordrhein-Westfalen participated.
German tanks withdraw from Kurdistan
In the march that started in the Deutzer Werft area in Cologne, the slogan ‘Bijî berxwedana Rojava’ and ‘Killer Erdoğan’ were often shouted. Participants loudly demanded the withdrawal of German tanks in Kurdistan, demanded an end to the German-Turkey cooperation and has demanded the lifting of criminalization of the YPG.
Numerous German anti-fascist organizations joined the march massively and showed solidarity with the resistance of the people and the model of democratic society in Rojava.
We urge everyone to defend this resistance with the spirit of uprising
During a march an official from the Rojava Autonomy Administration pointed out that the morale was high and that the people’s resistance should be increased. Rojawan officials urged everyone to take care of this resistance and to resist with the spirit of uprising.
