ŞENGAL
As the Turkish state continues its occupation attacks in Rojava, the number of killed civillians continues to grow and among them are children. Today, maybe for the first time in history a march was held by children, some of whom have only just learned to walk, wanting to protect other children.
The voices of these children echoed through the Serdest mountains of Sengal today as they chanted “stop killing children” and “long live Rojava.” They shared the pain of the mothers who returned the corpses of their babies to the land.
A child named Necbir Îbrahîm was captured by Jin News: the child explained that she “doesn’t want children to be killed, wounded. Children should play, they should go to school. They should be happy. We go to school too.”
Erîvan Xidir, another child said “we came to walk for children in Rojava. We don’t want them to die, the planes should stop. Those children are still small, they’re going to have to leave their homes. This is very hard.”
At the end of the action, a child named Necla Emin shared that “all of us want the war to stop. The whole world should also speak against it.”
