BAGHDAD
Baghdad students boycotted the classes in the cities of Basra and Nasiriye with the slogan “no school until the regime falls.”
Our correspondent, Bashir Shehab, shared that “public and private university students and teachers in Diwaniye started a two-day sit-in for the regime to fall.” While Education Minister, Kuseyi al-Suheyl, called on university students to keep outside of the protest movement, the students who gathered in Baghdad Tahrir square, responded by saying “if there is no country, then there is no school.”
At the moment, while officials and students march together in Kut, 150 kilometers south of Baghdad, most of the administrative institutions remain closed.
