The Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, has shared in a statement that the ceasefire agreement reached between the US and occupier Turkey is a result of the historic resistance of the QSD. The need for the people to continue its support for the QSD was stressed.
“As the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, we state that we will act in accordance with the cease-fire agreement reached between the US and Turkish state officials.
Without the historic and glorious resistance of the QSD fighters, such a deal would not have been made. In addition, the pressure exerted by the world states on the Turkish state against the invasion attacks against North and East Syria was effective in taking this decision. The world took the same attitude against the attacks of the Turkish state and stood by the QSD, which fought against ISIS terrorism instead of the whole world and gave 11 thousand martyrs in this resistance.
However, the Turkish state violates the cease-fire agreement. The attacks are still continuing in some regions, especially in Serêkaniyê, and civilians are martyred and injured in these attacks. We once again announce to the people that the cease-fire agreement covers the regions between Girê Spî and Serêkaniyê.
According to this agreement, the return of all peoples who had to migrate due to occupation attacks was guaranteed. This will prevent the Turkish state’s plans for ethnic cleansing and changing the demographic structure of the region. In addition, this decision will prevent the Turkish state from invading other parts of Syria.
Some articles of the cease-fire agreement should be discussed with the US responsible for this agreement.
As the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, we would like to express our gratitude to the QSD which have fought against all the occupation plans of the Turkish state, the occupation of the lands irrigated with the sacred blood of our martyrs.
We would like to thank all the countries that were with us during these difficult days and condemned the attacks on the Syrian territory.
Our people in northern and eastern Syria should be prepared and support the QSD for the full implementation of the cease-fire decision.
We declare our support to the QSD, all Syrian peoples, especially the northern and eastern Syrian peoples, who ended the ISIS terrorism after 5 years of struggle, did not accept anything other than victory and did whatever it takes to protect the Syrian territory. ”
