“Youth of our time,
On the 21st anniversary of the beginning of the interstate plot against Rêber APO, the attacks of the fascist Turkish state against Northern Syria and Rojava have begun. This is a new stage in the genocide plans of colonialist Turkey. We are ready and we will defend this revolution. It is time to mobilize!
Throughout the world, there are currently fierce crises and inter-state power struggles. Societies are left face to face with extensive slavery, assimilation and genocide. Through a never ending search for more profits, war culture and chauvinism they want to drag us into their nationalistic madness. Feminicide and the culture of rape have become a cruel normal state of affairs and our planet is facing an ecological catastrophe.
The ongoing attempts to occupy Rojava are an unprecedented danger. Genocide, massacres, displacement and destruction are threatening. The second largest NATO army in the world has put all its guns in position and is now continuously firing at civilians and all the achievements that have been accomplished over the 7 years of the Revolution. It is a collective plan of the states – their lies cannot deceive us. The blood of countless civilians are in the hands of the imperialist states.
The revolution in Kurdistan and especially the building of a new society based on the principles of Democracy, Ecology and Women’s Liberation in Rojava has today taken on the meaning of the French, Russian and Cuban revolutions and it embodies their heritage in our time. The defense of these achievements against the hordes of IS and Turkish fascism has cost us thousands of invaluable lives and countless wounded.
It is the duty of all youth, revolutionaries and internationalists who are against the IS and fascism to stand up for this historical struggle. Hans Beimler, Che Guevara, Ivana Hoffmann and Avesta Xabûr did not hesitate a second to fight against fascism and imperialism. Only if we follow in the footsteps of the fallen will we be victorious. Who, if not us? When, if not today? What are you waiting for?
The time has come for all the youth of the Middle East: You will not find in Europe what you are looking for, but only in your free homeland – come and defend your homeland. Join the self-defense units in Rojava and become part of the struggle against colonialism, oppression and fascism. As you know, it is above all the youth, who are fed up with oppression and long for a free life, who must stand up for protecting their homeland. The organized propaganda, the heroic guerrilla struggle, the barricades and the popular uprisings in the city – the youth takes the leading role in all of it. In the history of the revolutions of freedom and democratic autonomy – be it in Spain, Vietnam, Angola or today in Kurdistan – the youth has always been at the forefront. It is therefore also the responsibility of the youth in Europe to go to Rojava and defend the revolution. Whether internationalist or Kurdish – we have to stop the Turkish fascism. Without the revolution in the Middle East, freedom in the western metropolises will not be possible in our time.
This global war, whose center today is Kurdistan, is the last war that will end all wars. In order to turn this war into our liberation war, we need the courage, the hope and the unconditional resistance of the youth. The youth are aware of their responsibility towards the martyrs and they are determined until the end to follow their ideals of a free society and a free life. Do not be silent, do not watch, do not allow it. We will write history together!
In order to defend the revolution in Kurdistan and to break the interstate conspiracy against Rêber APO, there is only one way: The way of resistance. We are in the phase of Revolutionary People’s War, in which every house and street will be transformed into a position of resistance, and everyone – young and old – will play an important role in the revolution.
There is not a weapon in this world that can break the will of a revolutionary society in the resistance. We are something they can never destroy, we are hope. We will resist – whatever the cost! Those who give true meaning to freedom are strong, immortal.
