TKEP/L Representative Lieutenant Ali spoke to our agency about their involvement in the Rojava Revolution as an organization, on the 7th year of the Rojava Revolution and the effects and developments of the Rojava Revolution. He said the revolution is a great source of hope for the peoples, who considered it a blow to capitalism.
Lieutenant Ali started his speech by celebrating the 7th anniversary of the Rojava Revolution. “We promise them that we will continue to do our utmost to protect the Rojava Revolution and to advance its victory further.”
Rojava Revolution formed the spirit of unity
Pointing out that the Rojava Revolution is a people’s revolution against capitalism and fascism led by women, he continued: “the Rojava Revolution is a great victory against the religious reactionary, capitalism and fascism imposed on the people of Rojava, and especially the Kurdish people.
The Rojava People’s Revolution is like a mosaic in its position. It is a new and promising experience for different peoples of the world where different ethnic identities are fighting for and gaining their freedom. The revolution has been the common framework of the freedom march of the peoples living in Rojava and eastern Syria. In this sense, it presented an example to the history of worldwide struggles of revolution, which once again demonstrated the importance of the unity of struggle among the peoples and showed a practical example of how this unity can be built.
The role played by the leadership of the women in the revolution and the colour of the women, adds to its quality making this stand out as one of the most advanced aspects. Especially in the Middle East, this victory is a first in terms of women’s leadership. On the other hand, the fact that women are an important part of the revolution in every field shows how advanced and robust the Rojava revolution is as a people’s revolution.
The Rojava revolution proceeded with a unique line of development. While transforming the longing of anger and freedom accumulated in our peoples into a revolutionary movement, it succeeded in demonstrating the result-oriented practice that was shaped with great skill by channelling both the internal dynamics and the contradictions that existed in the international situation to the progress of the revolution. It progressed and achieved results by taking the necessary political and military steps at the moment, weak and unfit for the enemy, and appropriate for the revolution, directing the popular movement, on time and in time, showing all of the speed and agility required. In all these respects, the Rojava Revolution has rich content that needs to be explored in the experiences of world revolution.
As the visible steps of the revolution emerged in 2012, no one could predict that it would extend to this level. Everything in those processes was a hard shock. The revolution, which progressed with great sacrifices with great difficulties at every stage, continued its progress along with these impossibilities for a long time.”
The Rojava Revolution was the revolution of thirsty peoples
Lieutenant Ali, expressed that as part of the TKEP/L organization, they participated in the Rojava Revolution during the Kobane process. He describes the Rojava Revolution “as running a people’s revolution, who are thirsty for freedom.”
“We, TKEP/L (Turkey Communist Labor Party / Leninist), came in Rojava, during the war period in Kobane. With the participation of our pioneer groups, we joined the process in the Kobanê war. We did not have the resources we have today.
Today, Revolution has solved many problems in terms of basic requirements. The revolution had to be defended under very difficult and pushing conditions, and this was accomplished by confronting many failures, impossibilities. The great devotion shown in the Revolution progressed with sacrifices and it survived.
In our opinion, we should remember those times and what was done in those times in order to feel the power of this revolution whenever we find it difficult. Because the greatest thing the Rojava revolution has shown and taught us is that a people who are thirsty for freedom and its pioneers can achieve their goals, create a new life, regardless of the circumstances. ”
We will defend the revolution to the end
Ensuring that the Rojava Revolution is the answer and example of the demands of the peoples of the world, especially the Middle East, Lieutenant said, “if we take the Rojava revolution apart from the developments in the world, we will be underestimated. Imperialism and capitalism across the world dominate a wave of rebellion against reactionary powers. As we mentioned above, we are in the Century of Revolts and Revolutions. This concreteness effects and shapes all events and phenomena.
Now our countries and the peoples of the Middle East are on the brink of new revolutions. The imperialist-capitalist system and the collaborative governments have taken action to strangle these revolutions. No matter what they do, the goal of a new, warless and free world is now more visible than ever.
The Rojava Revolution did not proceed as it wished, due to the burning war and the persistent external threats. Moving this process forward in a situation where you are faced with dangers from all four sides is a really difficult task. Despite this, it succeeded. The revolution is at the beginning of a journey and is going to be at a crossroads often. Here, we have great duties and responsibilities to carry the process forward.
We, as revolutionaries from TKEP/L, have taken part in the defence of the Revolution to this day. We will continue to do our part in the defence of this Revolution, which we consider ourselves a part of today. ”
Rojava Revolution creates alternative for peoples
“The imperialist-capitalist system is in a process of collapse, and the regional reactionary powers are collapsing,” said the lieutenant, stating that the revolution is a concrete example of the collapse of the capitalist system.
‘Every new situation that develops regionally is rapidly affecting everywhere in the world. The 21st century will be the century of uprisings and revolutions. We can witness new revolutions all over the world. The Rojava Revolution is one of the concrete examples of this process. Each revolution has a social basis and an objective: the Rojava Revolution has won victories in its objective process.
This victory is the first in mid-eastern Turkey and great morale and inspiration to people around the world, including Kurdistan. It is proof that a new world is not far away and that a human alternative is possible, apart from this obsolete system.
The Rojava Revolution contributed greatly to the development of the United Revolution; hundreds of thousands of young people came from Turkey’s cities to defend. Many experiences and teachings have been accumulated during the course of this revolution. They became immortalized, wounded, the blood of the peoples mixed together. No power can pull off this bond anymore!
We are determined to carry the hope forward to the future, with the power we receive from this process. With this bond, will and joint struggle, we will shatter the fascist state! ”

Lastly, Lieutenant pointed out that the Revolution has developed a new alternative to the capitalist system and considered the revolution as the disappearance of fascism and the rebirth of the people. He stated that they would resist the attacks of this new system which contradicts the interests of all states, especially the occupying Turkish state, as the United Revolutionary Movement.
“The Rojava Revolution was a hope not only for our country but for all the working people of the world. It is another path that denies the Imperialist-Capitalist System completely. In this sense, neither the Imperialist-Capitalist system itself nor any of the states within this system can accept a revolution in this essence. Of course, they will try to destroy or evacuate an example in which they see the destruction and collapse of their own systems.
The meaning of the Rojava Revolution for the Turkish State is nothing more than a great and imminent threat to its exploitative existence. The development and success of the revolution mean the emergence of a new life for our peoples, while for the fascist T.C, it means the danger of extinction.
As you have stated in your question, plans to attempt to invade Rojava are not new. After the invasion of Efrîn, the Turkish Republic expresses this intention more frequently under the name of ‘creating a safe zone’, and tries to make this dream a reality by launching an invasion attack on places it considers Pact National Borders”.
And he won’t stop attacking when he catches the proper environment and believes he’ll get results. Because the Rojava Revolution is a part of the “Beka Question” that they talk about so much.
With the political and practical bond between Turkey and Kurdistan, the United Revolutionary Struggle already includes most of us. Accordingly, it takes precautions and positions itself according to this danger. This requires that the fascism of the TC not leave the Rojava Revolution in any means and instead create methods to try to suffocate it in every economic, political or military way. This is what he does, what he tries to do…
The revolution is going through a critical process, and the fascist T.C has recently taken refuge in the Rojava border, increasing the threat of occupation. They have dimensioned their preparations for war.
But our revolution also has plans and preparations.
