The sons of the fertile Mesopotamian land fed by the goddess culture have always been heroes. Comrade Diyar was one of the comrades who grew up with this heroic culture. Comrade Diyar was born and raised in a family from Mahabat, proud of his Kurdishness. He was in a constant search for the point of Kurdishness stemming from his natural character.
Comrade Diyar was the son of those majestic mountains of the east. It was possible to see the unspoiled essence of the Kurds in his bravery, generosity and understanding of honour. He was a brave Kurdish warrior who had fallen into history; this essence led him to a struggle for Kurdishness. The country was a form of honour to him.
He rejected dishonour, being destroyed, being shattered, he rejected the things that this country’s child could never accept it. He had to fight to save his honor. And fight, he did. Although he was arrested by the regime, thrown into a dungeon and subjected to all kinds of torture to get away from the essence of Kurdishness, he never surrendered. His searches carried him to the PKK. He wouldn’t live so cheap, he wouldn’t die so easily. He was going to look out for his enemy so that he could shoot him without fear. In 97 he joined the guerrilla ranks, the guerrilla is the only place to answer his quest. Therefore, he makes his choice the breakthrough and resistance.
Comrade Diyar’s greatest desire was to see the leadership. This demand remained in him an ever-growing longing. He finally realized that it was not about seeing the Leadership physically, but living in his spirit and thought.
When the proposal to go to the North was accepted in 99, he set out with a group of comrades. But upon the leadership’s instructions to withdraw, he had to return halfway. Years later, in a process where groups were prepared for the North, he set out with his comrades whom he shared his life and heart, valuing this opportunity. Since it coincided with the periods when the winter started to take effect, they could not reach their destination and stayed in another region. As soon as the conditions improved, they set off again with spring. In the spring of 2001, rebellion and resistance came to the castle of Dêrsim. He soon became a hawk that could not be conquered in the eyes of his enemy and was not easily bitten. He was brave and sharp in his fight. It was almost a challenge to the enemy. The enemy headed so treacherously and brutally to seize his comrade in the realm, but he didn’t fall for it. He mocked the enemy with his quick wit.
Comrade Diyar was known for his revenge for comrade Agit. Diyar had lost his dear comrade and beloved commander Agit during his journey. Now Ovacık is a battlefield for him. He soon became a commander whose name was written. It was everyone’s desire to stay with him, live, fight with him. Every friend who lived with him was bound by love, respect, courage and purity.
Although comrade Diyar was distant from the traditions and culture of the people of Dêrsim, he would never see it as an obstacle and would establish the warmest relations with the people. In a short time with these features had become famous in the public. With its sharpness, generosity, modesty, courageous bravery, it was in the hearts of the people. He had a patriotism based on his historical roots. That was his pop direction. In this respect, it created great respect in the public. He was not only dealing with the enemy but also the problems of the people. He was able to find solutions by taking a creative and creative approach to every job he took. In this sense, he was very creative and talented. There was no such thing as Comrade Diyar. Success; his work and action were dominant. He had a great ambition of success. It was collaborative. He used to teach his comrade everything he had learned with great responsibility. He would not hesitate to teach his comrade what war knew about life. It could affect the environment very easily with its morale and vigour. There was always victory on the march. The walk was steep, confident. He grew up in labour and always cost his experience general. In this sense, it is not possible to pour the spirit of companionship into him. Comrade was alive. There was nothing he couldn’t do for his comrade. Under the harsh and brutal conditions of war, a great spirit of comradeship and devotion developed. Dozens of comrades were martyred before their eyes. He buried the souls of these comrades in his heart, turning it into unlimited work and resistance in war. He commemorates the enemy with an irresistible fury; history, culture, people and comrades.
His courage was a nightmare for the enemy. I am always the servant of the organization and the Order. U He accomplished and completed every mission he accomplished with a sense of success and superior morale.
There were more paths to embark upon. Yılmaz was the traveller of the roads, he had to fall to work, to make and to create. His last march was on the bare soil of Ovacik, under the shadow of the majestic mountains of Munzur. So it was time to leave. He once again looked at his comrades, whom he would leave with his eyes glowing as if he were walking towards eternity. He said something to everyone. The memory of these last words left to us has been engraved in our brains. He left with three of his beloved comrades. The date was July 12, 2004 when an army of hundreds of men who circled the three of them. Comrade Diyar is wounded and tired when he resists for two days, the calender now shows July 14, the day of historic heroism.
However, he did not give up despite everything. In fact, his heart moved so much that even if he stopped, his heart would not stop. He was alone and injured now. He had a great heart to fight against an army. The blood of his comrades should not remain on the ground. For this, he rejoiced against the enemy. This must be the will to live at the summit. All the guns went to the companion of the realm, it rained on him. The enemy could not bring down this invincible warrior, he was not afraid to go. So he started hitting with a cobra from the air. In the midst of these flames, he stood with pride, holding hands with his other comrades Munzur, Hussein, Rubar and Rojhat.
The castle of resistance, the heart of the hawks, Munzur, the castle of the unconquered, embraced the souls on its skirts and stepped on their hearts. The hearts of the souls who did not want to reach and could not reach to drink a cup of water from the Munzurs so that they could cool and breathe. Longing arises, grows and flows into the smooth water of Munzur. Munzur was mysterious, and this mysteriousness made her indescribable. But that day, sadness and pain had taken over. It turned into a misty mood and she was going to cry like a person tonight, Munzur. Munzur was besieged, instead of tears, blood was mixing into Munzur. Munzur water, which became even more violent with blood, was screaming with howl. Because she would lose her beloved son, her great and brave commander Diyar. She opened her heart only to the valiant and unconquered hawks with her majestical conquest. Comrade Diyar was the hawk of Munzur. The place of freedom was so united with the mountains that the spirit of the rebellion of the mountains embraced his soul.
Comrade Diyar could not have known that he the circle which was narrowing around him like a chain to one’s throat was the dirty, hideous claws of betrayal. And he did it. He knew that he couldn’t surrender even a piece of himself into this darkness. Anger and hatred had accumulated in his heart, which he would vomit and save his comrades. He was going to sacrifice himself. He had not forgotten, the brave martyr before his eyes. Depended on the Order. But he froze, he couldn’t go down so easily when the coldness of the betrayal was burning his mind. But he was too ambitious, amorous and full of enthusiasm to surrender. Because he was the son of Munzur. Because on the eve of the July 14 resistance, a new resistance was emerging. Because the blood of the Munzur martyrs had not dried up yet.
