I’ve read a story about people trying to go up in a very high, unknown tower. The first generation reached up to the fifth floor, while the second generation reached seventh; the third generation has reached the tenth floor. In time, the next generations came to the 100th floor, then the stairs collapsed.
The people on the 100th floor have laid this place very nicely and started to live there. They forgot about their ancestors’ lives on the lower floors and how they went up to the 100th floor. They tried to claim to the whole humanity the relationships and thoughts they had established through the perspective of both themselves and their multiples. This story is a good example of forgetting the social past.
Along with the hierarchical-statist system, as in the above-mentioned story, there is an intense conception of alienation and denial in terms of getting away from its past and how it has reached its present position. These self-forgetting and denials have come to life as a result of the attacks of the hierarchical-statist system against all the values of natural society.
By removing women and youth, who are the fundamental values of society and is the dynamic power of the society, from the existing self-dynamics, the society could easily control and be brought into any kind of game. Therefore, in every period of history, attacks have been developed which intimidate women and youth and distract them from their own self.
The hierarchical-statist system has applied its attacks against youth very thinly to every cell. He used methods of intimidation in thought and life, that is, degeneration in culture, rather than physical orientations. The youth, whose past has become a subject of embarrassment, makes this day dependent on hopeless and uncertain future.
Particularly with Capitalist modernity, breaking spirituality, seeing all kinds of spiritual value as empty things and strolling through the polished streets of material life have been imposed on youth as a philosophy of life. The system wants to keep youth in a position of thankfulness for all things, removing them from all kinds of social struggles. He links all his dirty methods to himself using special combat tactics. He reveals weak personalities by equipping them with purely formalist, insensitive dreams. Disbelieving, away from social conscience. As a matter of fact, a youth who has lost faith cannot be expected to take action and have the right practice in the face of existing problems.
Always addicted to one place, the youth is made to think that they “can not stand an hour on their own feet.”
In this state, the youth is a hopeless cause in the democratizing, liberating, and developing of society. Therefore, the system enters into the activities of degenerating and distancing the youth from the existing reality against the societies attempting for the freedom struggle. This activity is carried out against the Kurdish youth, mostly in the territory of Kurdistan by mobilizing all opportunities by the state. All kinds of ugliness are seen and committed against the Kurdish society, who are assertive in creating a free life and is getting closer to the victory every passing day. Inhumane treatment is used in order to remove it from the existing struggle.
For decades, Kurdish youths have been wanted to be alienated from themselves and made embarrassed by all kinds of dirty war methods. It can be said that they achieved this at a certain level. However, with the PKK movement, which started its struggle as a youth movement, all kinds of dirty war practices implemented were deciphered and enabled the Kurdish youth to meet their own past. This will be seen more clearly given the stage of the Kurdish freedom struggle.
Yes, the stage of the struggle is clear and admirable, with the lamb taken from the lion’s mouth. Now it’s time to raise this lamb. But how much can we really be an answer to the process we have? To the smallest detail of this question, youth should find an answer and develop effective practice in line with this answer.
Kurdish youth have come to the final part of the freedom they have been fighting for decades. They’re about to crown it with a victory. However, there are deficiencies in the point of responding to and eliminating the attacks of the system at a sufficient level. These shortcomings delay success to a certain extent. It needs to be revised and directed to the style of struggle being conducted. Existing deficiencies and insufficiencies should be overcome by addressing obsolescent, unresponsive, retroactive actions, and by renewing and questioning a way of action at every moment, by addressing the goals that the system cannot predict.
There is no problem or target that a youth movement that is organized, strong, confident and aware of its own power cannot overcome. Already, as the youth organizes, as they move away from the outdated life of the system, they have a mission and become a consideration. Surely; there should be no concern of youth. However, this necessity arises from the perception that the system creates in youth regarding society. Even though this bend has been demolished to a certain extent in Kurdish society, it continues from time to time due to the inability of the youth to respond to the needs of the society at a sufficient level and this puts the oil on the bread for the system to digest them quicker.
If we, as the youth, call ourselves the pioneering force of society, it is important and urgent to fulfil the requirements. Developed by the system; youth, initiative, responsiveness to the attacks on the people, the sacred nature of Kurdistan and all kinds of value judgments. First of all, our leadership; “Youth should take the initiative by establishing autonomous organizations. It should ensure that they are organized everywhere without being based on anyone. ” From this, the youth must develop itself in every corner around the organization, which is dependent on places and waiting for instructions. Everyone who can prevent this must be overcome by the necessary and correct manner and method.
It is evident that the police and other stooges of the slave system, who are mercilessly attacking men and women, children and the elderly, who have nothing left in their hearts and brains on behalf of humanity, and whose pockets are filled with money like straws, are developing attacks that reach the climax against the Kurds.
The struggle, carried out as a youth, encourages the system rather than repulsing and intimidating it, making its attacks even more aggressive. The police of the system, which is caused by the inadequacies of the society in protecting the existing values, walks freely and enters the neighbourhoods and areas where we say that we are the most organized. The way to overcome this is to provide deep and strong organization. With the cell organizations to be created, defence units of almost every street will be formed. These defence units will prevent the system from entering and will eliminate all the dirty games (prostitution, drugs etc.)
In the actions taken against the police, the youth should proceed fearless, hard-wearing, without taking a single step back. No one can stand before a determined youth. But with great power, the streets of Kurdistan can be cleared of marauders and system servants. Entering reservations and experiencing hesitations pull back the existing struggle. Should not hesitate in the struggle. Hesitation means death, extinction. From this, the purpose should be as clear as the sun. It will also find the way and method of achieving the youth goals that are clear in their aims. Aware that the only place they will be accounted for is the Leadership, they must walk fearlessly and without worry.
The objectives to be chosen should be chosen such that; return to the enemy brain shot. It must be hit from one place to another without understanding how it happened, where it came from. As the blows increase, the system weakens, and the struggle grows weaker. The growing struggle also means the footsteps of freedom.
The process in which the Kurdish society goes through does not accept any postponement, spreading of time and waiting. While the final is in the struggle for freedom, keeping yourself behind, staying in the audience position and standing in a wait-and-see position is the name of insisting on slave life. Especially the youth should refuse to accept this situation and take the song of freedom more lively and act like a scream that will blow the enemy’s brain. Movement is a blessing. The action of those who are strong, is strong.
Costs are heavy in creating a free life. Because great costs lead to great victories. If the Kurdish community is now looking at these days in the hope that freedom is imminent, it has been the result of the heavy costs incurred by the Kurdish Freedom Movement and the Kurdish community. Carefully and amorous to freedom, they hurled the darkness with all their beautiful dreams. each of Kurdish youth living in all parts of Kurdistan and Turkey must put his hand under the stone. The youth who does not interrupt their duties by realizing the awareness of responsibility should question themselves in time and moment by moment and reach to free tomorrow by holding the initiative in a renewing style. It is time to stop living that is old, worn out, stinking in its silence. The day is a time for freedom songs to be expressed in every step of the territory of Kurdistan. The day is the time for youth to take the banner of victory and walk at the forefront. The day is the time when the dream of freedom of the millennia is crowned with victory.
Organized youth is the youth with initiative, the youth who does not give up the initiative is the closest youth to free life. Youth that has taken action is youth who has attained the essence of meaning.
