Since the evening of May 27, the Turkish state has continued to invade Xakurkê in the Bradost region of southern Kurdistan. Unable to make progress within the ‘Claw’ operation on May 27, the occupation expanded and announced a new operation, ‘Claw 2’ from the Biradost-Xakurkê area to the Barzan border in Zaxo, covering the area from Behdinan to Bamerne.
Yes, this shows once again that there was no result in the first operation. 6 thousand commandos and JOH (Gandarmerrie Special Forces), joined by the private warfare media and embellished and attacked; the UAVs and the most advanced technology used in the Claw operation was fruitless. The Turkish state has taken action to create new military bases in the Zap, Zagros, Barzan and Xakurke regions and has entered into a further expansion of the occupation areas. If this plan, always kept in a back pocket, is successful various Kurdish politicians will be put into play.
The Republic of Turkey would receive the share of the oil deposits from South Kurdistan and the plan made within the framework of Misaki-Milli would be the result. So why did the occupation operation that started on May 27th, despite all these dirty alliances and games, fail? What were the roles of the KDP and YNK in the occupation attacks? Which power has played a role? This situation will probably be seen more clearly in the coming periods.
KDP provided all kinds of support to the operation
The Turkish state had built its policies throughout history through internal and external enemies. It is a known reality since the date that the Turkish state will not have the power to carry out such an operation on its own without the support of the KDP: anyone with a little historical awareness can see this reality very clearly.
The KDP’s support for the operation was made obvious from the very beginning. The economically and culturally occupied territories of South Kurdistan are also intended to be completed by military operations. For this, dirty alliances and various plans were introduced.
Nechirvan Barzani is to sit in the presidential seat after his first visit to Turkey on June 10, which was actually the most concrete example of the state’s support for this occupation. In addition to this, especially the publications of Nechirvan Barzani related to these invasion attacks were once again proof that the KDP mobilized everything by supporting these attacks.
The KDP has been conducting a cooperative relationship with the enemies of the Kurdish people for forty years. He does not hesitate to make it very clear that there is a part of the system that wants to divide and destroy Kurdistan. Their own narrow family draws all kinds of freedom to the occupiers in order to consolidate their dynastic relations. The military and intelligence support in this occupation operation were to determine the location of the PKK’s high-level cadres, hand over coordinates to the occupation warplanes and other various tasks, which was confirmed through the confessions made by KDP agents who were captured by the PKK.
Again, the betraying KDP delegations are seen speaking to the public, visiting their markets to spread anti-propaganda against the PKK, this has been documented numerous times.
YNK’s Role in the occupation attacks
These were known and evolving situations, the actual question is the role of YNK.
In the initial establishment phase, they defined themselves as “we are revolutionary, progressive and a national party and our audience are revolutionary intellectuals, labourers, workers and farmers” but they have never played a role because of their inconsistent policies. Again, lack of a strategic and ideological stance made the YNK an oligarchic party and a group of relatives.
What happened in Kirkuk on October 16, 2017, the attitude of some Kurdish politicians affiliated with YNK and Goran, was the most concrete indicator of a heavy and organized betrayal. Celal Talabani, founder and fighter of the YNK, has already forgotten the promise that “Kirkuk will remain a Kurdistan city until the last Kurd remains”. For example, there are some YNK members who speak as if they were KDP. They want to completely liquidate the NPC and take part in the KDP. Because YNK’s political policy and the attitude against the occupation is quite suitable for this.
No military success
Last but not least, the MIT and YNK intelligence Zanyari are planning a joint attack, even though the YNK administrations always say that they do not allow the MIT to fight against the PKK in their fields. The massacre of Diyar Xerib, a member of the KCK General Presidential Council, revealed the extent of this fact, betrayal and cooperation.
Within the context of MIT-Parastin-Zanyari interior relations, the possibility of this event is getting more and more clear. When we look at the recent history, for example, after the uprising in the 1990s and after the demise of Saddam, the Peshmerga forces received many documents belonging to Iraqi intelligence, and it became clear that many rulers and officials from the Southern parties and organizations acted as agents of Saddam during his time.
In other words, they are in an understanding and approach that can offer all kinds of intelligence support to the enemy. The occupation operation in Southern Kurdistan has no military success. Conversely, MIT is involved in the incident. The existence of MIT brings the KDP and YNK directly into the incident and makes them responsible. Therefore, there is a nested and very dirty intelligence network.
