First Syrian Democratic Council Youth Congress Held in Heseke

The Syrian Democratic Council Congress, which was held in the cultural and artistic centre of the Heswê district of Xiwêran, started with the participation of youth representatives from many cities in Syria.

The congress includes 500 delegates from SDC Youth in northern and eastern Syria, as well as young people from the Suez and Homs cities.

Among the attendees were Aldar Xelîl, TEV-DEM Executive Committee Member, Gebrayîl Şamûn and Fîdan Xelîl, Executive Vice-President of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria, Lîna Berekat, Member of the Coordination of the Syrian Women’s Assembly, and Abdulxenî Oso, Co-President of the Canton Assembly of Hesekê.

Speaking at the congress, Aldar Xelîl congratulated the Congress for the participation of young people aiming for a decentralized Syria and pointed out that the Congress took place in a sensitive process.

Following the speech of Aldar Xelîl, the Congress continues with the activity reports and the reading of the SDC Youth Assembly charter.
