Suruç veteran Güneş Erzurumluoğlu made a speech at the commemoration of the sit-in. Erzurumluoğlu said in her speech: As socialist youth, our aim was to carry hope to children. By participating in the reconstruction of Kobane, our ideals, our dreams and the land of the revolution against ISIS in the fight against the blood of our comrades who were martyred. Contrary to Erdoğan who said Kobanê fell and will fall, we were on our way to celebrate the victory, we were massacred in this way. But we haven’t lost hope, we’re still on the streets and in the fields. We will continue to scream out our demand for justice for Suruç, justice everywhere,” she said.
After the speech of Erzurumluoğlu, the German declaration was read and the memorial was ended after a music concert given in memory of Pirsûs Martyrs.
