In Bradost, Sidekan district of Hewlêr, people made preparations to take action against the invasion attacks of the Turkish state after the sermon on Friday (July 12th). When the people announced that they would take action against the invaders, the KDP authorities threatened the people not to take action.
Immediately after the blockade of the requested action on Friday, a large number of people, including KDP parliamentarians, went to the region on Saturday (July 13th) and met with the community leaders, local people and KDP officials in Hewlêr’s Sidekan.
The KDP parliamentarian, who welcomed the invaders, was involved again
Among those who went to Sidekan was Erşed Hisên Lolani from KDP, who met the invading Turkish soldiers in the village of Bermizê in Bradost on June 1, 2018, and visited the village. After welcoming the invaders, Lolani was elected parliamentary member of the KDP in the parliamentary elections on 30 September.
KDP asked people to take action against PKK
According to the information received from the participants of the meeting, the KDP delegation at the meeting told the people not to take against the Turkish state, but rather the PKK and forces from Rojhilat. Reportedly, the people responded stating that “the guerrillas in the region are located in the highlands far from the civilian settlements. Nevertheless, the Turkish state is bombing villages and civilian areas. ”
‘Go stop the invasion!’
At the meeting, while the discussions continued, the leaders said to the KDP parliamentarians: “The PKK cannot be used as an excuse for everything. Everything is very clear. Even you yourself can come to the region and see what happened. None of the Turkish state’s attacks on civilian settlements has led to the loss of the PKK.
We ask you to negotiate with us, to find the solution of the Turkish state invasion attacks on the region, which we want to prevent. Ask the HDK-I and HDK parties from Rojhilat to stay away from civilian settlements. The guerrillas do not enter civilian settlements. They don’t see it safe anyway. But even if they do, we can talk to them and explain the situation. The guerrillas listen to us.”
When there was no result in the meeting…
The KDP delegation, who could not get what they want at the meeting, toured the markets spreading antipropaganda against the PKK. However, it is stated that the people do not fall for the delegation and that they will not take any action against the PKK.
