Birliğizidî Youth Association and Birliğizidî Young Women’s Union organized a march in Şengal against the Turkish state’s invasion attacks in Başurê Kurdistan. In Şengal young people, as well as a large number of people, attended the march last night.
The youth chanted “rebellion against the occupation and betrayal, martyrs are immoral” and “long live leader Apo.”
After the march, a press release was read. The statement said: “We condemn the government of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, which have been silent to the attacks of the Turkish state and the witnesses of the martyrdom of Diyar Xerib.
The operation against Başur and comrade Helmet are not independent of collaborators and betrayers. The Turkish state wants to achieve its dreams of Ottomanism in the region with occupation and massacre.
Bashur people and young people should resist the occupation with the spirit of Şêladazê. As idzidî youth, we do not accept the occupation and want to say that we will resist until the end.
Those responsible for the martyrdom of comrade Helmet should be found and punished. We call on the people of Basur, Shengal and the youth to resistance against the occupation, attacks and massacres. ”
